Rethinking leadership assessment
for a complex world

Our study into assessment practices shows significant shifts in the expectations on leaders facilitated by the pandemic as well as ‘old normal’ drivers of change. They are required to connect in authentic ways, to promote wellbeing, navigate dilemmas, lead in uncertainty and so much more. Yet current assessment methods have not kept up with the pace of change. Our report highlights these latest findings. In it, we explain what has shifted in the expectations on leaders and what capacities are being drawn upon to respond to today's disruption. We also suggest ways to change assessment practice to meet the challenges presented by Human Resources, leadership, development and talent practitioners.
